Job Title: Business Analyst Advanced
Job Description:
The Florida Department of Health Office of CMS Managed Care Plan and Specialty Programs is seeking an experienced Business Analyst Advanced to provide critical business-level analysis services supporting operational needs. The candidate will support the Division s applications and initiatives, including the Children s Medical Services 3.0 Health Information Management System.
Responsibilities:
Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate meetings including creating agendas and recording minutes
Develop detailed process flow charts to visualize current and future workflows
Prepare design documentation and functional specifications aligned with system requirements
Create, execute, and manage application test cases, ensuring thorough testing and accurate tracking of results
Develop and deliver training materials to end users and stakeholders
Document all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring compliance and completeness
Conduct thorough research to support requirements gathering and clarify business logic
Translate research and stakeholder input into clear, actionable documentation
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst on software development projects
Minimum 5 years of software testing experience, including test planning and execution
Minimum 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Microsoft Visio
Proven ability to effectively facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Demonstrated expertise in documenting complex process flows and business logic
Experience creating user guides and training materials for a variety of audiences
Hands-on experience in health care systems, especially in the children s health care domain
Preferred: Experience working with the Children s Medical Services (CMS) 3.0 Health Information Management System
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
