The Hong Kong Support Center (HKSC) is the regional corporate hub for the 15 markets in the Asia Pacific region - Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong/Macau, India, Indonesia, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. With over 5,000 stores, the region is a key growth driver for the organization.
Job Summary and Mission
This role contributes to Starbucks success by leading and defining cross-functional planning, prioritization, alignment and governance of key strategic coffee initiatives across Asia Pacific regional team including global, regional and market teams.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but at not limited to the following:
Leads integrated regional planning approach for cross-functional program planning, prioritization, alignment, and governance, to ensure effective decision-making across multiple functions.
Leads and facilitates regional planning approach to facilitate alignment to regional strategy, in consideration of impacts, milestones, risks, assumptions, constraints, communication plan, and overall program investment.
Drives effective team communication on program ideation, status, and escalation to engage organization and resolve issues as needed and cohesive working teams.
Drives and manages complex, cross-functional projects and project teams, leading multiple efforts simultaneously.
Optimizes financial, human and other resource allocations between projects and ensures effective resource utilization across the portfolio.
Engages project teams to ensure stakeholders understand vision, goals and objectives of programs.
Identifies and engage data and insights to ensure relevant focus against company goals and strategies.
Tracks, reports and analyzes project metrics across the function and collaborates with functions to provide strategic and tactical advice on program/project planning and execution.
Analyzes and evaluates project interdependencies and impacts.
Coordinates multiple projects within program(s) in accordance with established standards and best practices.
Negotiates for resources, liaises with external and internal stakeholders and sponsor-clients on program-related matters.
Provides subject matter expertise, professional guidance and leadership to stakeholders and teams to realize the strategic business vision or desired result.
Summary of Experience
Application of industry-based project management methodologies and tools - 8 years
Application of strategic initiative development - 8 years
General business experience in large, matrixed organizations and teams - 8+ years
Managing complex large-scale business or information technology projects - 8 years
Mentoring other project manager in program and project management - 6+ years
Engagement and communications systems and approaches - 5+ years
Building, leading and mentoring teams - 5+ years
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
