We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Operations Intern to join our team for the summer of 2024. The ideal candidate will assist in expanding our customer base by ensuring that our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database contains comprehensive information on potential clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region who could benefit from our cybersecurity solutions.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Identify potential clients and add them to our CRM
  • Update databases to ensure information is correct and up-to-date
  • Expand our database with the goal of including our total addressable market
  • Categorize and label current and prospective client according to their location, seniority level, and responsibilities
  • Leverage resources and relationships to bring Value to Customers
  • Keep vendor Sales Performance Incentive Fund (SPIFFs) up to date, tracking SPIFFs and making sure they are paid to GPS
  • Map account lists that are shared with by our vendor partners
  • Attend intro calls with new vendors and assisting with follow up action items
  • Utilize Crossbeam data to extract possible new leads
  • Confirm vendor attendance for lunches and account mapping sessions
  • Work closely with other GuidePoint teams to better streamline processes and information
  • Develop and retain knowledge of InfoSec Products and Industry, Vendor Resources and GuidePoint Security Service offerings
  • Other related duties to support the region as required and assigned

Requirements:
  • High school diploma (GED) required
  • Associate Degree preferred
  • Prior experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software required
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office and Internet navigation
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must have outstanding attention to detail and commitment to follow-through
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • An unwavering positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguity are a must
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely via email, phone, and written documents


Internship Details and Expectations:
This is a part-time, remote paid internship with potential travel that is offered as part of a GPSU cohort running from May 20 - August 9, 2024. Additionally, interns:
  • Are expected to contribute 29 hours a week during normal business hours
  • May attend onboarding in Tampa, FL from May 20-23 (all expenses paid)
  • Must have a personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours
