Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Application Integration Architect to lead the migration of legacy BizTalk integrations to modern, scalable enterprise integration platforms. This role requires a good working knowledge of BizTalk Server, enterprise application integration (EAI), integration patterns, and open-source integration frameworks such as Apache Camel, Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, and other Apache middleware components.

The ideal candidate will architect and implement end-to-end EAI solutions, modernize existing landscapes, and ensure seamless migration with minimal business impact

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and own the end-to-end migration of BizTalk Server solutions to modern integration platforms (Target architecture is open-source Apache Based Framework)
  • Analyze existing BizTalk orchestrations, pipelines, schemas, maps, and adapters; define migration strategy.
  • Architect and implement EAI solutions using industry-leading integration patterns.
  • Design, build, and deploy integrations using Apache and related open-source frameworks (e.g., Apache Camel, Kafka, ActiveMQ).
  • Evaluate existing SOA, ESB, and messaging components; define modern integration architecture.
  • Collaborate with development teams to translate requirements into scalable designs.
  • Modernize legacy BizTalk components into microservices, APIs, cloud-native workflows, or event-driven architectures.
  • Define system integration standards, governance, design guidelines, and reusable assets.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Ensure integration security, compliance, reliability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and provide thought leadership on EAI and middleware modernization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align solutions with enterprise strategy.

Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of BizTalk orchestrations, ports, pipelines, schemas, automations, and adapters.
  • Hands-on experience in modern EAI (Apache Based Framework), ESB, messaging, and event-driven architecture patterns.
  • Proficiency in integration technologies: REST, SOAP, XML, XSLT, JSON, EDI, AS2, SFTP, message queues.
  • Experience with CI/CD automation for integration pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Years of experience needed:

  • 8 12+ years of experience in Application Integration Products like BizTalk.

Technical Skills:

  • BizTalk Server (orchestrations, ports, pipelines, schemas, automations, adapters)
  • Apache middleware (Camel, Kafka, ActiveMQ, other components)
  • SOA, ESB, messaging, event-driven architecture
  • Integration technologies: REST, SOAP, XML, XSLT, JSON, EDI, AS2, SFTP, message queues
  • Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (cloud-native integration services)
  • API Management, microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Architecture documentation (UML, sequence diagrams, integration flow diagrams)
  • CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
