Job Title: Systems Admin II
Location: Denver, CO / Remote
Duration: 12+ months

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The System Administrator II will provide technical skillsets to support ROPS production applications, products and services. The System Administrator II will provide support, maintenance, monitor all ROPS production systems, troubleshoot, resolve technical issues, provide downstream KB's for the Service Desk, and facilitate process automation wherever possible. The System Admistrator II will ensure IT best practices in production environments and ensure Client company security policies are followed.

The System Administrator II will be responsible to learn and develop the full duties of the teams they support, and will be expected to work alongside them. They will also liaise with internal IT teams, external vendors, QA, and Product Management teams. The System Administrator II must be able to drive results and clear obstacles by collaborating with other teams.
The Systems Administrator is a critical member during Month End Close (MEC). This role does include afterhours on-call responsibilities on a rotating on-call schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides support and maintenance of ROPS systems
  • Requirements gathering and writing technical and functional KB documents
  • Serve as a liaison between support team members
  • Prepare and/or present documentation of business/technical presentations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with support teams
  • Other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Provide product support through triage, troubleshooting, and ticketing, to support ROPS systems
  • Identify, define, and streamline or automate critical and routine tasks and processes
  • Follow change management processes to communicate all new process, content, and feature changes to IT and support teammates
  • Work with business stakeholders, support tiers, end users, product managers, engineers, legal, compliance, privacy, and risk to development and improve product maintenance processes
  • Create and update application documentation
  • Application updates and maintenance of ROPS applications
  • Technical middleware support for 30 production business critical applications
  • System vulnerability remediation
  • Upcoming Windows server upgrades
  • Microsoft server upgrades
  • Troubleshooting system performance concerns
  • Administer system and application monitoring and altering
  • Administors all server certificates for ROPS servers
  • IT project management at the Systems Administrator level
  • Follow IT best practices
  • Ensure Client IT security policies are being followed and implemented

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required):

  • 3-5 years of experience in an IT similar role
  • BA/BS degree in a technology related field, business administration or equivalent experience.
  • IT healthcare experience suggested
  • Window OS
  • Active Directory
  • IIS
  • Backups
  • Data security including NTFS, share permissions, SFTP/FTPS, SSL/TLS
  • Windows clustering
  • Disaster recovery
  • 3-Tier application infrastructure
  • ColdFusion experience preferred but not required
  • Monitoring and alerting systems
  • VMMare infrastructure
  • Database connectivity and troubleshooting experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely detail and process oriented
  • Able to work independently and juggle multiple projects
  • Dynatrace experience would be a plus.

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence
