Maximo Mobile and Maximo Anywhere Technical Consultant
  1. Role Overview

As a Maximo Mobile & Maximo Anywhere Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, development, integration, and support of IBM Maximo Mobile and Maximo Anywhere solutions. You will work closely with functional consultants, infrastructure teams, and end users to deliver a mobile asset management platform that extends the core Maximo capabilities to field technicians and mobile users.

  1. Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Design:
    • Architect mobile solutions based on Maximo Mobile/Anywhere and align them with client business processes.
    • Conduct workshops and gather requirements from field maintenance teams and stakeholders.
  • Technical Configuration & Development:
    • Configure IBM Maximo Anywhere applications (Preventive Maintenance, Work Execution, Inspections, etc.).
    • Customize and extend mobile apps using Angular and IBM Worklight/MobileFirst Platform.
    • Develop and maintain JSON/XML integration scripts, automation scripts (MIF), and Java-based customizations.
  • Integration Services:
    • Design and implement integrations between Maximo, external systems (SAP, GIS, IoT platforms), and mobile clients using RESTful APIs, MIF, JMS, and OSLC.
    • Ensure data synchronization and offline capabilities for field users.
  • Testing & Deployment:
    • Develop unit, integration, and UAT scripts.
    • Coordinate mobile app packaging, deployment, and version control via MobileFirst/Worklight console.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, security issues, and configuration conflicts.
  • Support & Documentation:
    • Provide L2/L3 support for Maximo Mobile/Anywhere after go-live.
    • Create technical design documents, configuration guides, and support runbooks.
    • Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions for client IT teams and end users.

IBM Maximo Anywhere/Maximo Mobile

3+ implementations of Maximo Anywhere or Mobile applications.

IBM MobileFirst/Worklight

Hands-on with administration, app packaging, adapters, and security configurations.

Web Technologies

Proficient in Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.

Integration Framework

Expertise in MIF, REST APIs, OSLC, JMS, and data mapping/transformation.

Backend Development

Java/J2EE customizations, automation scripts, cron tasks.

Databases

SQL scripting and performance tuning (DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server).

Source Control & CI/CD

Git, Jenkins, Maven (or similar) for builds and deployments.

Mobile Platforms

iOS and Android deployment considerations, provisioning, offline caching strategies.

Security

OAuth, SSL, mobile app security best practices, data encryption.

  1. Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • IBM Certified Solution Developer Maximo Anywhere (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in Agile/SCRUM environments and interact with global teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end mobile asset management solutions.
