Sr. Full Stack/ Middleware Developer

Currently we are searching for a Senior Full Stack/ Middleware Developer to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy.

This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire opportunity that sits onsite at least three days per week in Birmingham, AL.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the architecture and development of a modern middleware platform to drive application maturity and future scalability.
• Guide the team in selecting the right tools and languages to solve complex data-driven problems likely using Python, but flexible across C#, Node.js, or other mature ecosystems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data and software teams to transition from traditional scripting to structured, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
• Define best practices for middleware development, process automation, and tool standardization, influencing long-term direction.
• Serve as a hands-on technical lead balancing code contributions with mentoring and team guidance.
• Navigate a hybrid cloud environment, helping shape decisions between AWS and Azure services based on use case fit.
• Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and strategy planning sessions with leadership.

Position Requirements:

• Strong background in middleware or application-layer development with extensive hands-on experience in Python, Node.js, or other modern programming languages.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or drive technical direction within a team either as a current technical leader or a senior engineer ready for a leadership jump.
• Experience working across data and application layers, leveraging modern platforms such as SageMaker or similar ML/data frameworks is a plus.
• Comfortable operating in an evolving tech stack must be opinionated and able to help define best-fit tools, frameworks, and environments.
• Must be onsite at least three days per week and willing to participate in collaborative working sessions.
• Excellent communication skills; must be able to influence, mentor, and work with stakeholders this is not a heads-down cube role.
• Industry-specific experience is a nice-to-have but not required.
