Nightwing is seeking a Sr. Engineering Director.
Key responsibilities include developing strategic plans for engineering resources, managing budgets, leading and mentoring the Nightwing engineering staff, and ensuring quality and compliance with standards. Directors collaborate with other departments, monitor industry trends, and ensure efficient and timely delivery of projects and technical solutions from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the engineering strategy, setting goals, priorities, and timelines to align with the Nightwing's overall objectives.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, manage, and mentor engineering teams, while strengthening team culture and building organizational cohesion to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment. This includes hiring, training, and facilitating professional development for team members.
Project Management: Oversee the allocation and assignment of engineering resources to enable the design, development, and delivery of engineering projects and technical solutions, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
Process & Quality Assurance: Implement and refine engineering best practices, processes, and standards to ensure product quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as product management, marketing, and operations, to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Budget & Resource Management: Manage the engineering department's budget and resource allocation to support projects and strategic initiatives.
Key Skills & Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is typically required.
12 years of experience in engineering management roles and a deep understanding of engineering principles.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage complex projects, integrate diverse teams, and lead technical teams effectively.
