IT Business Analyst

Our Des Moines-based client is seeking an IT Business Analyst to join their team as soon as possible. Our client is an insurance leader, looking for a professional to drive initiatives, support the analysis and documentation of technical and business requirements, and mentor others in achieving business objectives. What you will do:

• Drive initiatives and shape outcomes across business and IT stakeholders
• Lead or contribute to identifying, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements across teams for moderately complex, medium-to-large initiatives aligned with strategic goals
• Manage tasks independently while mentoring others to achieve business goals
• Collaborate with several teams regarding data ingestion, consumption, and curation from an AWS/Snowflake environment
• Contribute to the development of a user interface, demonstrating comprehension of the business process and how the interface supports the process

What you will need to be successful:

• 6+ years of related experience
• Thorough understanding of financial service products, systems, and business processes
• Technical proficiency
• Demonstrated expertise in Business Analysis and the practical use of Project Management methodologies and tools
• Excellent negotiation, interviewing, and facilitation skills
• Advanced analytical thinking, strategic problem-solving, and conceptual insight
• Capability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Ability to create and foster successful relationships, as well as promote effective teamwork and communication
• Ability to support and navigate change, as well as successfully mentor others through change
• Ability to operate successfully in a matrix management environment
