EHS Lead Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the QA efforts for EHS software applications
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand EHS functional requirements
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases (manual or automated) for EHS modules
• Validate functional workflows related to incident management, risk assessments, compliance tracking, audits, inspections, chemical safety, etc.
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools like JIRA or ALM
• Provide functional insights during requirement discussions and defect triage meetings
• Coordinate test cycles (System Testing, Regression, UAT) and ensure traceability
• Ensure EHS compliance and industry standards are met during software testing
• Mentor junior QA team members and manage test resources and timelines

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in QA with at least 3+ years in EHS domain
• Hands-on experience with EHS applications such as SAP EHS, Enablon, Intelex, Sphera, or other similar platforms
• Strong understanding of EHS regulations and functional processes (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
• Expertise in writing test cases, test scenarios, and user stories for EHS workflows
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and tools (JIRA, Zephyr, Xray, etc.)
• Experience with defect lifecycle and root cause analysis
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills:

• ISTQB or similar testing certifications
• Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, TestComplete, etc.)
• Prior experience working with cross-functional global teams
• Basic knowledge of regulatory reporting and documentation for EHS audits
