Job Details

We are looking for a highly experienced Data Center Technician to join our team. This role involves advanced break-fix responsibilities across GPUs, servers, networking, and cabling, as well as managing tickets through ITSM systems. The ideal candidate will have experience deploying fully populated GPU or network racks in data center environments, including rack movement, baying, leveling, grounding, hot-air containment, and overhead cable tray installation.
Candidates should be proficient in interpreting BOMs to ensure material accuracy and possess deep expertise in Ethernet cabling technologies-copper and fiber (SM, MM, MPO)-including routing, dressing, and connector types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks across Level 1-3 technician scopes as needed.
  • Install, inspect, and cable servers and switches per wire maps and standards.
  • Collaborate with network administrators to verify connectivity and resolve issues.
  • Deploy and configure GPUs, NICs, drives, and memory modules.
  • Troubleshoot server issues, replace faulty components, and manage returns.
  • Update firmware and configure IP settings.
  • Provide hands-on support for network admins during server/switch setup and maintenance.
  • Lead break-fix efforts for GPUs, servers, network, and cabling.
  • Manage and resolve ITSM tickets efficiently.
  • Oversee rack deployment including movement, baying, leveling, grounding, and containment.
  • Install, test, and label copper and fiber infrastructure.
  • Handle optical modules (SFPs, QSFPs) and clean fiber connectors (SC, LC, MPO).
  • Rack and stack equipment, patch cables, and maintain documentation.
  • Lead teams and manage multiple high-pressure projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and data center standards.
  • Communicate progress using tracking tools, MS Office, and visual documentation.
  • Travel as required and work with DC-powered equipment.
  • Understand telecom engineering designs for enterprise-level data centers.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in data center deployment and break-fix operations.
  • Proven expertise in GPU/network rack deployment and cabling technologies.
  • Skilled in handling optical modules and fiber cleaning techniques.
  • Experience in equipment installation, patching, and rack management.
  • Demonstrated leadership in team and project management.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr.
