Job Title: nCino / Salesforce Architect

Location: Detroit, Michigan, USA
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned nCino / Salesforce Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of nCino-based banking solutions on the Salesforce platform. In this hybrid role (3 days onsite in Detroit), you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and other architects to ensure scalable, maintainable, and compliant solutions that align with business goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the end-to-end architecture of nCino solutions on Salesforce from solution design, data modeling, integrations, to deployment and maintenance

  • Lead technical design workshops, translating business requirements into scalable and efficient architecture

  • Oversee, review, and approve development work (Apex, Lightning, nCino customizations, integrations) for consistency with architectural principles and quality standards

  • Ensure optimal integration strategies (APIs, middleware, ETL, event-driven, batch jobs) between nCino/Salesforce and internal/external systems (e.g. core banking, loan origination systems, KYC, ERP, data warehouses)

  • Provide governance and technical leadership across the nCino domain define standards, best practices, and patterns

  • Perform architectural assessments, gap analysis, and technical risk identification

  • Participate in release planning, code reviews, performance tuning, and security reviews

  • Mentor developers, conduct design reviews, and help uplift the technical maturity of the team

  • Ensure compliance with banking and financial regulations (e.g. data privacy, audit trails, access controls)

  • Stay current with Salesforce and nCino roadmap, propose enhancements or innovation opportunities


Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Salesforce solutions, including custom development (Apex, Lightning, Visualforce)

  • Strong experience with nCino configuration, customization, and architecture

  • Demonstrated experience in a Salesforce / nCino Architect or Lead Architect role

  • Deep understanding of banking / financial services domain lending, deposit, credit, treasury, risk, etc.

  • Proven track record in complex integrations using REST, SOAP, batch, messaging, ESB / middleware platforms

  • Excellent skills in data modeling, data migration, data governance, and performance optimization

  • Experience in CI/CD, DevOps practices, version control (Git), automated testing

  • Familiarity with Salesforce architecture concepts (governor limits, bulk operations, caching, scaling)

  • Strong communication skills ability to present architecture and designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience with security architecture, role-based access, sharing models, compliance and audit

  • Ability to travel/onsite presence 3 days a week in Detroit


Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Salesforce Architect certifications (e.g. Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect)

  • nCino-specific certifications or demonstrable nCino project experience

  • Experience working in large-scale banking / financial institutions

  • Experience with additional technologies like Mulesoft, Kafka, Azure/AWS, data lakes, BI / analytics

  • Exposure to digital banking, mobile & API-first strategies

  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
