Back End Developer, Mid
The Opportunity:

As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We're looking for a back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to help identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for our clients.

As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you'll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks, and tools to help deliver solutions. Using your software engineering knowledge, you'll work with and learn from the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering, information technology, or computer engineering
  • Experience with designing, developing, and implementing features for a Java application based on team needs, while integrating changes from dependent third-party APIs and updating the codebase accordingly
  • Experience collaborating with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, negotiate API designs using OpenAPI specifications, and implement agreed-upon changes
  • Experience with updating test cases, performing sprint testing, and regression testing throughout the SDLC
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering


Nice If You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with intelligence analysis, including employing multi-INT databases to develop analytic assessments and briefings
  • Experience with GeoSpatial and Cartographic Mapping, GeoJSON, and KMZ files
  • Knowledge of Java Spring Boot, Docker, and development on Linux-based systems
  • Knowledge of global nuclear energy-related programs, technologies, and initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively within or lead a team of peers
  • Ability to communicate complex analyses at a level comprehensible to personnel and senior-level government representatives.
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
