Account Manager

Description

The Account Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the City of Phoenix stagehand payroll and staffing contract. This position will:
Serve as the primary point of contact for City representatives on all contract matters.
Coordinate with IATSE Local 336 to ensure labor requests are filled accurately and on time.
Oversee payroll processing for dispatched labor, ensuring compliance with wage scales, benefits, and City requirements.
Monitor and manage day-to-day operations including scheduling, timesheet review, and invoice preparation.
Provide on-site support during large events to resolve staffing or payroll concerns immediately.
Ensure contract compliance, maintain required documentation, and deliver regular reports to the City.
Lead issue resolution, acting quickly on any no-shows, staffing shortages, or payroll discrepancies.
Support a smooth transition plan at the start of the contract and maintain continuous improvement throughout the term.

Skill set info

Strong knowledge of event staffing and union labor agreements
Proven payroll administration and compliance background
Excellent communication and escalation handling
Ability to manage scheduling and staffing under high-pressure timelines
Proficiency with ATS/HRIS systems (e.g., JobDiva) and reporting tools

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Event Management, or related field

Certifications (if required)

Project Management or HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP) considered a plus
