Program Manager Tech 2 - Supply Chain Implementation

Role Overview
We are seeking a Program Manager Tech 2 to support the implementation of Microsoft's large-scale supply chain planning transformation. This role will focus on driving the rollout of SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), ensuring smooth execution from design/build phases through full implementation. The Program Manager will partner closely with the hiring manager and cross-functional teams to coordinate testing, track issues, and ensure deliverables are met on time.
Typical Day in the Role
The team is implementing a centralized supply chain planning system to replace manual, Excel-driven processes and unify data sources. The Program Manager ensures the project moves efficiently, blockers are resolved quickly, and deliverables stay on track.

Program Manager Tech 2 - Supply Chain Implementation

Role Overview
We are seeking a Program Manager Tech 2 to support the implementation of Microsoft's large-scale supply chain planning transformation. Typical Day in the Role
- Partner with the hiring manager to support SAP IBP implementation.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles: identify/document bugs, monitor progress, and track follow-ups.
- Drive cross-functional communication to align teams with project milestones.
- Run or support weekly team communications and recurring meetings (agenda prep, updates, next steps).
- Balance collaborative work with independent execution, adapting to evolving project needs.

Key Projects
- SAP IBP implementation: testing, rollouts, training, and adoption.
- Parallel runs and process validation to ensure accuracy between legacy and new systems.
- UAT coordination and issue tracking throughout implementation.
Weekly:
- Syncs with hiring manager to review progress, blockers, and upcoming tasks.
- Support weekly communications, status updates, and steering-level summaries.
Ongoing:
- Track requirements, document issues, and ensure commitments are met.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings and follow-ups.
- Identify system issues and drive resolution.
Ideal Background:
- Experience in Supply Chain and system implementation.
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Degrees/Certifications:
- No mandatory degree or certification.
- PM certifications helpful but not required.
Disqualifiers:
- No meaningful supply chain exposure or understanding of core concepts (e.g., forecast accuracy).
- No hands-on experience supporting implementations or large-scale programs.
- Heavy coding/technical background without relevant supply chain or PM experience.
- Best: Strong supply chain background, prior implementation experience, proven success driving accountability, resolving blockers, and clear communication.
- Average: General PM experience but limited supply chain knowledge or exposure to complex system rollouts.
- High visibility role interacting with multiple teams across Microsoft.
