Job title: FIC App Support Engineer

Comp: 200-275k total compensation (base + bonus)

Work Model: Miami based (in office) - no state income tax! (if not local MUST relocate)

Summary: A top 5 hedge fund globally in terms of size and AUM is seeking a Fixed Income, Commodities Application Support Engineer to join their growing Miami office. This is an in office Miami based role that will require relocation for non local candidates (willing to provide relocation assistance). Experience supporting trading applications and Python required.

Responsibilities
  • End to end ownership of the production environment:
  • Application Support
  • Incident and problem management
  • Automation of manual tasks

Mandatory Requirements
  • Experience supporting front office trading applications are essential, candidates must have worked within a global financial service organization
  • Hands on experience in Unix/Shell scripting
  • Hand on in SQL skills and knowledge of various database systems
  • Python experience
  • Strong experience with DevOps tooling
  • Ability to support Windows environments too
  • Highly analytical with excellent problem solving ability
  • Self-starter with ability to quickly pick up new concepts and technologies (Cloud, Server less etc)
  • Previous experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, OpsGenie)
  • Strong organization and project management skills

Preferred Requirements
  • Fixed income products knowledge
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
  • Experience with middleware solutions (i.e Kafka)
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS Preferred )
