Our client, a prominent player in multinational technology, is actively seeking a skilled individual to take on the role of a Junior Hardware Engineering Lab Engineer.

Day shift - 9-5 (flexible)

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
As a Hardware Engineering Lab Engineer, you will:
- Sustain and enhance a Lab environment supporting our customers.
- Serve as a primary resolver for issues and support needs in our Lab infrastructure, proficient in installing typical and non-standard server components, and executing server and rack troubleshooting and repair.
- Be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, capable of learning processes to prioritize activities effectively, even with a substantial list of tasks.
- Receive, rack, and integrate new servers and components into our lab infrastructure.
- Maintain and organize the server fleet, including cabling and cable management for serviceability and organization.
- Manage server, component, and supplies inventory, and oversee server, rack, and equipment commission and decommission.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the servers and test equipment you support.
- Showcase innovation and decision-making abilities, taking initiative while also following direction when necessary.
- Execute multiple simultaneous small projects independently and collaborate with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects.
- Demonstrate familiarity with basic hardware testing, performing manual and automated tests on hardware.
- Act as an escalation point for junior technicians, actively sharing skills and knowledge.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Lab experience
- Experience with IT servers and general computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of IT Hardware Concepts: x86 Architecture, GPUs, motherboards, risers, SAS/SATA/NVMe, TCP/IP, network switches, BMC, BIOS, CPLD, and other component firmware.
- Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system, coordinating with team members for task completion.
- Highly organized, capable of tracking and prioritizing a large number of concurrent activities.
- Provide creative solutions to eliminate recurring problems and address capacity demands in the lab environment.
- 1-2 years' experience with Microsoft Excel.
- 1-2 years' experience with Linux.
- 1-2 years' experience with Windows.
- Hardware installation and troubleshooting experience.
- Network troubleshooting experience.
