Job Title: IT Senior Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
Job Overview:
A motivated IT Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is needed to support the Medicaid Systems Development (MSD) team, primarily focusing on the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) application. This role provides critical testing and quality assurance support for large-scale health and eligibility systems used across Massachusetts. Responsibilities include test planning, test case development, execution (manual and automated), defect tracking, and supporting cross-functional testing initiatives. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence in Quincy, MA as requested.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Provide oversight of daily testing activities and ensure ongoing support.
Participate in weekly team meetings and cross-functional discussions.
Take part in defect triage and remediation meetings; provide root cause analysis and updates.
Engage in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
Develop and execute comprehensive test cases and scripts for end-to-end system testing.
Create test plans, reusable test scripts, and supporting documentation based on functional requirements and use cases.
Coordinate, prepare, and review test plans and scenarios both within and outside of project scope.
Conduct a wide range of testing types, including requirements verification, functional, security, regression, positive/negative, and ADA compliance testing.
Analyze test results and make informed decisions and recommendations.
Execute system and user acceptance testing; ensure defects are documented, tracked, and reported accurately.
Collaborate with QA technical teams on data setup for performance testing.
Perform detailed analysis of test results, escalate issues appropriately, and track resolutions.
Participate in scope review sessions with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts.
Collaborate with QA managers and project teams to ensure testing is completed on time.
Address testing-related issues and support team members as needed.
Conduct gap analysis and create additional test scenarios for expanded test coverage.
Develop automated test scripts and provide related technical support.
Maintain testing documentation, issue logs, and produce test summary reports after each cycle.
Utilize technical skills with Oracle or SQL Server, IBM Test Manager, LoadRunner, QTP, Jira, and MS Office.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Broad knowledge of software testing methods, approaches, and certification practices.
Ability to work independently and within project teams, supporting diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to evaluate test results and make confident recommendations.
Expertise in backend testing and writing SQL queries, including complex joins and subqueries.
Experience working with Oracle databases.
Proficiency with Jira or similar systems.
Experience with Quality Center, IBM ClearQuest, IBM Test Manager, and Microsoft Office products.
Ability to review BA and SME documentation to ensure requirements support functional use cases.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in black-box, white-box, functional, smoke, and regression testing.
Previous experience in healthcare or government environments preferred.
