Description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will design, manage, and enhance enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security. This position provides an excellent opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to strategic infrastructure initiatives within the chemicals manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain, and support enterprise infrastructure including servers, storage systems, backups, and disaster recovery solutions.
Deploy, optimize, and manage cloud services across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DaaS environments, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
Administer and secure Active Directory and Azure AD environments, ensuring high availability and compliance with SLAs.
Develop automated solutions for infrastructure deployment, performance monitoring, and incident resolution using DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with vendors, managed service providers, and internal teams to deliver reliable IT services and influence strategic infrastructure decisions.
Provide technical support and performance tuning for Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and Citrix environments.
Create and maintain architectural documentation and contribute to strategies for scalability and transformation.
Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, coordinating resolution efforts with third-party support as needed.
Ensure infrastructure security and identity management practices are consistently implemented and maintained.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail.
At least 10 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure roles, including expertise in data centers, virtualization, and security solutions.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with cloud-native architectures, preferably Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency in Active Directory, VMware, Linux, Windows Server, and infrastructure automation tools.
Hands-on experience with Citrix environments and disaster recovery planning.
Relevant certifications such as VMware, Microsoft Azure, or other related credentials are preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to various stakeholders.
