Location: Onsite in Seattle, WA
Contract Type: W2 Contract (6 months)
Pay Rate: $52-$59/hour (depending on experience)

Are you ready to shape the future of next-generation voice and AI products? Our client, a leading global tech innovator behind award-winning consumer devices, is seeking a UX Motion Designer to join a forward-thinking design studio focused on multimodal Alexa experiences.

As a member of the Motion Design team, you ll create elegant and intuitive motion interactions that bring life to voice and screen experiences across devices. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of storytelling, design systems, and emerging technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop motion behaviors, UX animations, and transitions that guide and delight customers
  • Create motion studies, rapid prototypes, and animated flows for product concepts and leadership presentations
  • Partner with visual, interaction, and voice designers in a collaborative, cross-functional studio
  • Contribute to evolving design systems and defining motion best practices and guidelines
  • Translate product and business goals into innovative motion concepts
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement polished, scalable animations
  • Advocate for motion design and participate in creative reviews and stakeholder presentations
  • Support the evolution of multimodal design across devices and platforms

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Motion Designer
  • 1+ year of UX-focused motion design experience
  • Bachelor s degree in Animation, Motion, Interaction, or Graphic Design (or related field)
  • Expertise in After Effects and prototyping tools; familiarity with tools like Sketch, Figma, and Illustrator
  • Strong understanding of UX, UI, and motion principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative, user-centered motion design work
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Experience designing for multimodal products (mobile, TV, web, VR, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Agile workflows and working directly with engineers and PMs
  • Experience with Lottie, Rive, or similar lightweight animation frameworks
  • Proven ability to balance creative vision with technical constraints
