Job Description:
  • The AbiInitio Developer is responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining ETL processes and data ingestion frameworks within data warehousing environments.
  • This role requires expertise in database management, ETL tools, and scheduling, along with strong analytical skills and domain knowledge in finance and capital markets.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, support, and maintain complex ETL frameworks for multiple data ingestion patterns.
  • Perform daily data ingestion processes from multiple source systems to target systems.
  • Develop and manage tasks within scheduling tools like Control-M, Maestro, or Autosys.
  • Use ticketing tools such as Jira and ServiceNow to manage tasks and track issues.
  • Provide production support and resolve data-related issues.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure effective communication and task completion.
  • Work in an Agile project development environment.
  • Manage team tasks, build teamwork, and provide guidance to junior team members.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Proficiency in SQL and ETL tools such as Ab Initio and Spark/Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle, DB2, and Teradata.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and database concepts.
  • Familiarity with Unix utilities (more, sed, awk, etc.).
  • Experience with Jenkins for automation and deployment.
  • Knowledge of finance and capital markets products.
Experience:
  • Experience with multiple source and target systems in data ingestion processes.
  • Prior production support and issue resolution experience.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for client and team interaction.
Qualification And Education:
  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
