Role: Lead SQL Server Developer

Role and Responsibilities:
Requirements gathering: The data migration developer must work with stakeholders to understand the requirements of the data migration project, including the data that needs to be migrated, the format of the data, and the desired outcome.
Data mapping: The developer must create a data map that outlines the relationships between the data in the source and target systems, and defines how the data will be transformed and migrated from one system to the other.
Data extraction: The developer must extract the data from the source system and prepare it for migration to the target system. This may involve cleaning and transforming the data, as well as handling any data conflicts.
Data loading: The developer must load the data into the target system, and ensure that the data is properly formatted and integrated with the target system.
Data testing: The developer must test the data to ensure that it has been accurately and completely migrated, and that it meets the requirements of the project.
Troubleshooting: The developer must resolve any issues that arise during the data migration process, such as data errors or performance issues.
Documentation: The developer must document the data migration process, including the data mapping, data extraction and loading processes, and the results of testing and troubleshooting.
Performance optimization: The developer must ensure that the data migration process is optimized for performance, and that the target system is able to handle the volume of data being migrated. This may involve optimizing SQL queries, or implementing indexing and caching to improve performance.
Required
BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Should have hands 14+ years of experience with database development using SQL Server
SQL Server, T-SQL, query optimization tools and techniques, data modelling techniques, and relational database design
Good understanding of the features available in SQL Server to achieve a scalable database solution
Various database development technologies, such as SQL Server, SQL Replication, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Warehouse, including SSMS, SSRS, SSIS / or ETL tools, and OLTP/OLAP features
