Position Overview
The Steel Detailing Checker is responsible for reviewing and verifying steel detailing drawings and models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications and standards. This role is critical to maintaining quality and efficiency in the fabrication and construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify steel detailing drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Coordinate with design teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues in the detailing process.
- Provide feedback and guidance to detailers to improve the quality of their work.
- Maintain documentation of checked drawings and communicate revisions effectively to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in steel detailing and checking processes.
- Strong knowledge of steel, metal, and iron fabrication standards.
- Proficiency in TEKLA detailing software and CAD tools.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
