The Manager, Information Security manages the day-to-day work of assigned staff and operations of the department. Oversees the design, development, and implementation of the company’s cyber security systems, tools, and resources ensuring the confidentially, integrity, and availability of all corporate assets and data. Evaluates emerging technologies and implements new systems, processes, and procedures to maintain the security of information assets. Ensures system security needs established and maintained for operations development, incident response, and vulnerability testing and scanning and provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis. Manages and matures information security policies and practices, governance and reporting, training and awareness, vulnerability and risk assessment and remediation, and business continuity. Collaborates with key stakeholders across the organization to implement a consistent security strategy and vision. Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex. Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors systems for cybersecurity vulnerabilities, threats and events, track SLA for response, and oversees incident response planning, and leads vulnerability audits and forensic investigations. Serves as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact on escalated Security issues.
  • Manages the day-to-day work of assigned staff, security professionals and operations of the department. Develops, coaches, and retains security professionals in a high-performing team, capable of operating in and responding to security incidents, as well as our internal and external stakeholder needs. Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by the team, clients, and stakeholders. Develops and/or refines procedures to improve results and leads change efforts to ensure sustainable improvement. Sets direction for the work group and operationalizes key strategic initiatives as defined by senior management. Ensures work is completed within the established budget and timeline.
  • Tracks and responds to security audits and issue responses to network or system intrusions. Documents and maintains all security assessments to improve the information security process.
  • Oversees the Security Operations projects and the implementation of new security tools. 
  • Conducts assessments on the security vendor’s performance to ensure systems and solutions are meeting the company’s operational standards and safety. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and vendors to help provide support and guidance to the teams related to security initiatives and requirements.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, and/or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Cyber Security Management, IT Threat/Risk Management, Information Security Operations, and/or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial/leadership role with direct reports. 
  • CISSP Certification and other Security related certifications are preferred
  • Advanced knowledge and experience directly managing security infrastructure such as firewalls, IPSs, WAFs, endpoint protection, SIEM and log management technology
  • May occasionally work evenings and/or weekends.
  • May require occasional travel approximately 10%-15%.

Compensation

The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $121,116.00 to $151,395.00 Annually. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
