DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND TASKS:
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Administrator with deep expertise in HANA System Replication (HSR) to design, implement, and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions for mission-critical SAP landscapes. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, resilience, and reliability of SAP HANA databases across cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer SAP HANA databases in scale-up and scale-out environments.
- Design and implement HANA System Replication (HSR) for HA/DR across multiple data centers.
- Manage failover/failback scenarios, perform switchover testing, and ensure business continuity.
- Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot HANA databases for performance, availability, and security.
- Automate HSR monitoring, alerting, and reporting using HANA Studio, SAP HANA Cockpit, Solution Manager, or 3rd party monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
- Work with Basis, OS, storage, and cloud teams (AWS,) to optimize infrastructure for HSR.
- Support backup/restore strategies, database patching, SPS upgrades, and migration activities.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and periodic DR drills.
- Document configurations, processes, and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience administering SAP HANA databases.
- Proven expertise in SAP HANA System Replication (HSR) design, implementation, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of Linux (SUSE / Red Hat) administration.
- Hands-on experience with HANA performance tuning, troubleshooting, and SQL scripting.
- Experience in HA/DR architecture: clustering (Pacemaker/Corosync), load balancing, storage replication.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery tools (Backint, third-party backup solutions).
- Familiarity with cloud (AWS, SAP Cloud/) and Migration.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with ability to resolve complex database and replication issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

- Experience in regulated environments (DoD, FedRAMP, HIPAA).
