Cloud DevSecOps Engineer IV
Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite each week)
6-month contract to hire
Pay Range $85.00-90.00/hr.

We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to help drive automation, infrastructure as code, and secure software delivery within our cloud environment. This individual will focus on Terraform-based automation, CI/CD pipeline integration, and supporting large-scale network and firewall operations through automation.
Responsibilities

• Automate network and firewall management tasks across a complex environment.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform - primary tool).
• Automate provisioning and configuration (e.g., with Ansible or similar).
• Support and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Harness, Jenkins, etc.).
• Write and maintain code/scripts in at least one modern language (Python, .NET, Node.js).
• Work with APIs to process large datasets and drive automation tasks.
• Troubleshoot issues related to network fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, ports, firewalls).
• Contribute to automation-focused projects with well-defined stories and tasks.

Required Skills

• Strong cloud expertise (AWS preferred).
• Hands-on Terraform experience (must-have).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, .NET, Node.js).
• CI/CD pipeline experience (any orchestration platform).
• Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, ports/protocols, firewalls).

Bonus Skills

• Ansible or other configuration automation platforms.
• HashiCorp Vault (preferred but not required).
• Experience with multiple programming languages.
• Multi-cloud familiarity (Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Operational support background.
