Job Description:

Position: Information Security Project Manager

Client: Large Banking Organization

Location: Ideally hybrid (3 days/week in Quincy, MA); Remote considered

Duration: 6+ Months; Strong potential for extension or full-time conversion

Overview:

We're seeking a delivery-focused Information Security Project Manager with approximately 5 years of experience to coordinate cross-functional initiatives across Infrastructure, InfoSec, and AppDev teams. This role is not part of the formal PMO and leans more toward execution and delivery than traditional project governance.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a positive, proactive team player, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. While technical development is not part of the role, technical fluency and InfoSec awareness are important to effectively coordinate with stakeholders and drive progress.

Projects follow a hybrid methodology-primarily waterfall under an internal EPMO model, with some Agile practices being adopted.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from definition through implementation
  • Coordinate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and InfoSec stakeholders
  • Drive delivery of key initiatives, including:
  • Authentication improvements for third-party access (EntraID integration)
  • Vulnerability management consolidation in ServiceNow (coordination with Spain-based editing team and US orchestration team)
  • Establish and maintain effective communication plans
  • Provide day-to-day direction to project resources
  • Ensure change management and documentation are handled effectively
  • Prepare status reports, budgets, and project documentation
    Required Experience:
    • 5+ years of project management experience
    • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts (Infra, InfoSec, AppDev)
    • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-motivated, confident, and adaptable in dynamic environments
    • Familiarity with MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word

    Nice to Have:
    • InfoSec aptitude or awareness
    • Experience with ServiceNow
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
