Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Virtualization Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work alongside other cloud professionals as a part of the FedNet team reporting to Virtualization and Automation Manager.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Develop infrastructure as code to build and maintain enterprise cloud environments.
  • Update and maintain git repositories.
  • Review and maintain CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171 compliance.
  • Focuses on solving technical problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contributes to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices through participation in team meetings and other direct contributions.
  • Provides technical guidance and end user training.
  • Initiates professionalism, excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Works independently as well as in a cooperative team environment.
  • Demonstrates fast and independent learning capabilities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience implementing CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171 standards
  • 2+ years of experience and knowledge of DevOps practices
  • Ability to automate Infrastructure as Code using a variety of technology types (Ansible, Python, PowerShell)
  • Cross-functional IT expertise (storage, network, and database infrastructure)
  • Strong experience with both Windows and Linux servers
  • Experience with knowledge of storage hardware, networking, and software in VMware environments to include NSX
  • Experience with enterprise hybrid cloud architecture (VMware)
  • Excellent documentation, intercommunication, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Good understanding and implementation of ITIL concepts
  • Good understanding and implementation of CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171 standards
  • VMware enterprise tools (vSphere, NSX, vRNI)
  • Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.)
  • Scripting experience (Bash, Ansible, Python, Groovy, PowerShell etc.)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC)
  • Knowledge of configuration file types (YAML, JSON)
  • Familiar with DevOps practices
  • Have a strong sense of networking

Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $142,600.00
