Job Details

As a Senior Software developer you will be responsible for full-stack development for a specific line of business partner. You will report to the Software Development Manager, work alongside a team, and ensure solutions for the line of business you are working alongside. A day in the life is as follows:
70% Hands on development - The primary responsibility will be designing, building and supporting our client's suite of custom developed web applications. Senior developers are looked at to handle the most complex challenges presented to the development team in regards to new projects to enable the business, supporting existing applications to ensure bug fixes, and other maintenance is complete, and to creatively solve emergencies as they arise with the LOB. You will leverage .NET/C#, React, and SQL, as well as SOAP and REST APIs in a hybrid Azure and on prem environement. You will partner with Project Managers, QA, Reporting, DBA, and Infrastructure teams as well as business leaders themselves to ensure delivery of work tracked in a Kanban board. Some of your time will be focused on pulling stories and working on projects, some will be focused on taking more complex issues and providing design and execution for those issues.
30% Business Partnership / mentoring others - As the main development resource focused on a specific line of business you will spend some of your time partnered with the PMO team the business stakeholders to ensure things like requirements are fully understood, business expectations can be managed, and ensuring the technical team has everything they need to focus on successful delivery, and time with other developers supporting this application to lead some of their day to day activities.

- There is no typical on call scheduled; however, given the business Pilot is in, during storm season there can be longer hours required to support the business. Pilot works hard to give comp time for folks who have to do off hours support, but storm season is an all hands on deck requirement.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
