Ford Motor Company is undertaking an effort to deploy SAP Production Planning (PP) and Inventory Management (IM) functionality to support Manufacturing production operations. This position is for an experienced SAP professional with expertise in ERP implementations for SAP modules, as a Production Planning (PP) specialist.

In this position...

Enterprise Technology is looking for a hands-on and highly motivated specialist in SAP Production Planning who can work with a global team that is developing & deploying SAP S/4HANA for Ford's core manufacturing plants. The SAP specialist will lead different aspects of the end-to-end delivery, working with a large cross-functional team of Supply Chain IT members, Systems Integrator and software vendors, manufacturing business subject matter experts, and IT leads from numerous integrating systems. This is a hybrid position and the SAP PP Specialist will collaborate with colleagues and teams a few days/ week in our Dearborn, MI office.

What you'll do...
  • Understand the current business process across all regions / plants.
  • Understand the functionality of current Legacy Material requirements Planning (MRP) and associated upstream and downstream systems
  • Work with various stakeholders to study the transformation of current process / legacy systems to Industry best standards / technology/ systems focusing on the SAP PP / MM modules
  • Perform Requirements Gathering, Business Analysis, and Fit-Gap / Fit-to-Standard Analysis to understand the as-is/to-be states and identify key functionality / process gaps
  • Recommend possible technology / process solution to address gaps
  • Develop roadmap / transformation map without impacting the operations
  • Deploy SAP S/4 PP across various sites globally and integrate with both legacy & other best-in-breed applications
  • Coach / train the team on SAP functions in the end-to-end business process
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of functional/technical experience with SAP PP/MM with skills including:
    • Industry process knowledge, solution expertise, consultation skills in SAP PP & MM modules
    • Experience in deployment (end-to-end implementation) of SAP PP & MM modules in both new and existing sites
    • Experience in SAP PP & MM module configuration
  • 2+ years of experience working in an SAP S/4 HANA environment

Even better, you may have...
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in integrating with Siemens or Dassault PLM (or other PLM solutions), KINAXIS tools, Manufacturing Execution Systems, etc.
  • Automotive industry experience or similar manufacturing industry experience.
  • Experience working in a global team and an onshore/offshore team model.
  • Experience working with a Systems Integrator
  • Overall SAP S/4 knowledge
  • Strong project management skills with effective communication and collaboration
  • Respect and empathy for team members, business partner and product customer
  • Excellent at problem solving and prevention.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns
  • Knowledge and practical experience of agile delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver product roadmap milestones.
