The Opportunity:
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the Army and DoD to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure its network will fit its evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and sof tware, requires a combination of te chn ical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network the Army needs.
As a Network Engineer on our team, you'll help the Army design and build a reliable network to support critical missions. You'll work with SMEs, customers, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You'll then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting hardware acquisition, you'll put your hardware and software talents to good use. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in Telecom Engineering
- Experience with Cisco VOIP
- Experience in designing and implementing LANs or VLANs
- Experience with routing Protocols and MULTICAST
- Experience with network protocol analysis using Sniffer or Wireshark
- Experience with VMware
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- CCNA or CCNP Certification
- Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ Certification within 6 months of hire
Nice If You Have:
- Experience in engineering design, development, integration, installation, operation, and maintenance of the WIN-T network
- Experience with commercial communications equipment
- Knowledge of radio bridging and cross banding
- Knowledge of RF engineering, Tactical Communication Systems, or Program Management
