Job Purpose and Mission

The purpose of this role is to provide structure and leadership for the future system and process changes that will result from the introduction of SAP SuccessFactors across multiple EMEA locations. It's a unique opportunity to join Starbucks at a unique stage of their HR Transformation programme across the EMEA business.

The Programme change manager will play a key role in ensuring that change initiatives including people, process and system deployments deliver the targeted benefits and are embedded and sustained for the future. The role is responsible for working with 3rd Party consultants to support the HR Transformation Lead in crafting and implementing the change management strategy, communications, developing change management capabilities across the organisation as well as devising Training programs and developing the training material required for user adoption. The role will collaborate with internal Starbucks partners (both regional and global) as well as 3rd party organisations to develop slick, intuitive partner solutions that are streamlined in nature, global process flows. It will drive the required collaboration, decision-making, and critical issues to facilitate the necessary workstream and program actions and outcomes across the Global People function. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
  • Apply change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative:-
  • Leading change management workstream with a structured methodology and process
  • Developing & maintaining change management plans for projects and change initiatives
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • Monitor progress against the change management plan, defining & measuring success metrics
  • Work with various stakeholders to maintain schedule and raise risks and mitigation strategies
  • Create an action plan to facilitate visible and active sponsorship of changes including planning and facilitating workshops and meetings to introduce concepts of SAP Success Factors HR solution and changes in business processes - communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
  • Define and lead process to develop 'What's changing' communication artifacts for dissemination
  • Collaborate across the EMEA Partner Resource (PRO) team and cross-functionally with Technology and other partners to understand the change management requirements of our transformation portfolio
  • Developing the change capability through training, coaching, crafting and maintaining materials
  • Tracking implementation progress and reporting progress to project leadership
  • Work on establishing an active Change Network across the program
  • Coordinate training requirements and logistics for the client and develop communication in partnership with Training Leads and PMO Lead across designated locations or as needed
  • Work with various stakeholders to define Organizational Readiness impacts from Cutover planning and Go Live Readiness
  • Ensuring that the importance of change management in delivering effective sustainable and embedded change is understood and supported at all levels
  • Work to understand people aspects of change so that the change programme can improve adoption and minimise resistance to change
  • Identifying and managing anticipated resistance to change
  • Providing coaching and training to employees at all levels to improve implementation communication
  • Complete stakeholder mapping activities
  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications
  • Identifying risks and developing risk mitigation tactics
  • Providing reporting and other updates to management and project teams
  • Conduct training needs analysis, provide input, document requirements, and support the design & delivery of training programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Solid experience with managing systems implementation programmes
  • Success Factors or other relevant HRIS tool experience
  • Proven experience in leading change management in significant programmes or projects using recognised change processes and tools. Prior experience in delivering technology change in a SAAS environment is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply the appropriate change tools & methodology for various change initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience with Organisational Change Management/Transformation Strategy & Planning, Developing Training Strategy/Plans, and
  • Communication Strategies/Plan execution
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to engage with, and manage stakeholders at all levels
