Expected salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 ($33.65 - $40.87 per hour), varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Perform the duties of a Stationary Engineer 1 or Stationary Engineer 2 as required. Operate plant equipment in a cost-effective, safe, and reliable manner. Scope is to include plant operations and mechanical maintenance in the plant environment or distribution system as required. This role will serve as a fill-in or relief operator when vacations or absences impact schedules. Otherwise, it will serve during business hour

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Monitor assigned plant operations through various controls systems/technologies.
  • Lead or assist in preventative or corrective maintenance activities on mechanical, electromechanical, or control systems throughout the plant.
  • Generate work orders for specialty trade groups as need for advanced maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure water quality at assigned plants by executing prescribed water management procedures and maintaining proper plant chemistry.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 5-years of experience operating stationary equipment or marine utility operations
  • Solid understanding of mechanical/electrical plant components (Pumps, motors, boilers, chillers, metering devices )
  • Previous experience performing preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance
  • Strong organizational skills including reporting, Email, and Microsoft Office

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Stationary Engineers License
  • Experience operating and maintaining high-pressure steam systems
  • Experience with Siemens Desigo platform
  • 7-years or more experience operating in a district energy system or central utility plant creating chilled water and steam
