Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise-level database management.
Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including Enterprise Edition and database recovery strategies.
Hands-on experience with cloud solutions, particularly Azure, and familiarity with migration processes.
Strong understanding of database design principles, optimization techniques, and performance tuning.
Expertise in tools such as PowerBI, Git, PowerShell, and PostgreSQL.
Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work across diverse teams.
Certifications or proven experience in Agile environments and cloud infrastructure.
Ability to manage production moves during non-standard work hours, ensuring reliability and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
- Database Maintenance & Optimization: Manage SQL databases, backups, patching, disaster recovery, and performance tuning while adhering to organizational standards for data security and governance.
- Query Development: Write and optimize efficient T-SQL queries and ETL processes for evolving business needs.
- Collaboration with Developers: Guide development teams by improving SQL code health, addressing inefficiencies, and providing advisory support on data usage and integration.
- Cloud Integration: Assist in initiatives for cloud database migration and infrastructure design (Azure or AWS preferred).
- Analytics Support: Contribute expertise in PowerBI to support dashboard deployment and ongoing analytics requests.
- Project Leadership: Spearhead key initiatives related to data architecture, classification, and retention strategies.
Preferred Competencies:
- Robust experience with Microsoft SQL Server (Enterprise Edition, SSMS), database recovery strategies, availability groups, and best practices in database design.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft environments, networking, and tools such as Git, PowerShell, SAS, PostgreSQL, and PowerBI.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for multi-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud solutions and automation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of enterprise database management experience, with functional knowledge of Agile development environments.
- Certifications or experience with Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure and migration strategies.
- Proven history of driving database optimizations to improve data performance and reliability.
