Job Details
Role: MES Consultant
Location: Chicago, IL
JD:
Responsibilities:
- Engage with factory users to demo application functionalities and provide training.
- Support configuration and hyper care activities.
- Manage multiple factory deployments simultaneously.
- Prepare and execute deployment plans in coordination with factory teams.
- Provide weekly status reports and participate in governance meetings.
- Support pre-UAT activities including functional validation and basic troubleshooting.
- Lead new opportunities from concept through to operational support.
Essential Skills:
- Experience with MES implementation using COTS tools (e.g., Apriso, Simatic IT, GE Proficy, SAP ME/MII, Rockwell).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes, preferably in CPG.
- Familiarity with ISA95 / MESA standards.
- Basic knowledge of control systems automation and OPC tools like Kepware.
- Ability to troubleshoot PL-DE and MES integration issues.
- Effective stakeholder management and deployment execution.
- Proficiency in deployment planning, execution, and reporting.
Desirable Skills:
- End-to-end ownership of Digital Factory platform deployment.
- Experience in preparing and presenting deployment strategies and plans.
- Leadership experience managing teams of 20+ deployment coordinators.
- Strong understanding of plant operations and MES integration.
- Ability to engage with factory/plant directors and digital champions.
- Familiarity with SQL/Oracle queries, Agile frameworks, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
