Business Analyst Consultant

The IT Business Analyst acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and the IT department to ensure that technology solutions align with business needs. This role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, documenting processes, and supporting the implementation of IT systems and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units to understand their processes, challenges, and technology needs.
• Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for IT teams.
• Support project planning, testing, and implementation of new systems or enhancements.
• Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of user manuals, training materials, and system documentation.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, software development life cycle (SDLC), and project management methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, and project management software.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
• PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
• Agile or Scrum certifications

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
