Purpose: As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play an integral role in building a robust and scalable digital platform. You will architect, design, develop, test, debug, support and release software, and your efforts will be critical to ensuring we are building and deploying code that meets the ongoing needs of our customers. You will be proposing solutions meeting product requirements, creating development plans, managing the release process, and ensuring technical documentation is properly maintained. You will work closely with various cross functional teams and work independently with little supervision to develop high-quality software that is aligned with customer needs and business goals. You will also anticipate future challenges and ensure the applications being built are technically sound and scalable in our rapid growth phase.

This is an individual contributor role that requires strong collaboration and leadership experience to be successful. This role will report to the Senior Manager Software NPD, who is tasked with developing, integrating and launching digital solutions across the patient care continuum.

You will:
  • Oversee development and contribute to the end-to-end SaaS and SaMD solutions across multiple environments and products.
  • Serve as technical lead for full software development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to support production environment and propose technical solutions to provide scalable and maintainable web applications and API services.
  • Serve as technical lead overseeing CI/CD deployment pipelines for development and production environments.
  • Contribute to the documentation process for software specifications, maintenance, and release.
  • Coordinate and assist with product releases, including helping with troubleshooting issues, when needed.
  • Support software builds for verification and validation.
  • Organize quality reviews and ensure the product's technical documentation is up to date and accurate.
  • Contribute to the software test strategies and provide solutions or investigate design options with focus on software stability and reliability.
  • Contribute to software design while utilizing methodologies that meet current needs and address future technologies.

Qualifications:
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years working in tech, consulting, IT, or related field
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, JavaScript or C# including object-oriented design
  • Experience developing and supporting customer SaaS applications in software, web and mobile enabled data applications
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Ability to contribute to hands-on software development activities including architecture, design and code development.
  • Ability to develop software and the associated documentation for regulated industries, like healthcare, with compliance requirements to standards like IEC 62304, and FDA guidance.
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices and relevant cybersecurity requirements for SaaS applications in healthcare domain.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks / projects
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket,)
  • Working knowledge in PHP/Symfony, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, and Angular is a plus
  • Experience with development of mobile apps is a plus
  • Experience working with software development in a regulated industry (medical/healthcare or similar) is a plus
  • Able to travel occasionally to customers or between offices - up to 10% of the time

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$105,000-$160,000

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
