Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain databases and data systems that support our business operations. The SQL Developer will be responsible for writing complex queries, optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.
- Perform advanced SQL performance tuning and query optimization across large datasets.
- Work with business analysts and application teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable database solutions.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and database architecture.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or other ETL tools.
- Analyze existing SQL code for improvements, debugging, and refactoring.
- Execute data migration, transformation, and integration activities.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Implement best practices for database security, backup, recovery, and indexing.
- Collaborate with application developers for database design and code reviews.
- Prepare technical documentation and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and advanced SQL functionality.
- Experience with query tuning, indexing strategies, and database optimization.
- Solid understanding of data modeling (OLTP/OLAP).
- Strong experience with SSIS, ETL workflows, and data integration.
- Experience in working with large-volume datasets and complex relational databases.
- Familiarity with Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or other cloud SQL environments (added advantage).
- Good understanding of version control tools like Git.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
