Job Description:
Pay Range: $44hr - $49hr
- The UX/UI or Product Designer will be responsible for creating user-centred and visually appealing designs for digital banking products.
- This includes conducting user research, designing intuitive interfaces, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and continuously improving user experiences in line with accessibility and brand standards.
- Conduct user research to understand customer needs, behaviours, and pain points, integrating findings into product design.
- Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for digital banking platforms and applications.
- Ensure visual consistency across digital products in alignment with brand identity and design guidelines.
- Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualise and test product concepts before development.
- Ensure accessibility compliance in all design outputs to create inclusive user experiences.
- Monitor industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in design.
- Advise and influence decision-making, contributing to policy development and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other business functions to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Lead or guide team members through structured assignments and collaborative design projects.
- Perform complex analyses of data from multiple sources to creatively and effectively solve design problems.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information effectively to varied audiences.
- Identify and mitigate risk through design and process improvements.
- Strengthen controls and governance related to product design and delivery.
- Proven prior experience as a UX/UI or Product Designer with a strong portfolio of relevant work.
- Ability to conduct and apply insights from user research and usability testing.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs that support user goals efficiently.
- Strong understanding of colour theory, typography, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Agile environments and heavily regulated industries, preferably financial services.
- Ability to lead design initiatives and influence stakeholders across teams.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of risk and control considerations.
- Ability to mentor and coach team members, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS and front-end development concepts.
- Experience conducting ethical design practices with awareness of privacy and security implications.
- Strategic thinking, collaboration, and stakeholder influence capabilities.
- Degree in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
