RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead or Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer in Pasadena, CA.
Responsibilities:
* Lead project planning, coordination, and execution with minimal oversight
* Independently manage conceptual design to construction drawing development for multiple small and medium-sized projects
* Develop designs compliant with Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards
* Handle HVAC calculations, design, and layout of equipment, duct, and piping systems
* Demonstrate strong understanding of psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and control systems
* Engage engineering applications and/or managers in project decisions
* Proactively communicate and coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Service departments, Controls, and trade partners
* Conduct economic and energy analyses
* Assist with field engineering tasks such as project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and troubleshooting
* Ensure quality of design drawings and models
* Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and project team members
* Manage time to meet project schedules and deadlines
* Oversee design team members as requested by the Manager
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
* Professional Engineer license is highly desirable but not mandatory
* Over three years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or as a consultant
* Comprehensive understanding of systems and applications
* Excellent knowledge of Building Codes and industry standards
* Strong grasp of engineering and design fundamentals
* Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
