Job Summary:

V2 Innovations Inc. is hiring a Senior Python AI Developer with recent experience in Capital Markets for a W2 contract role based in New York, NY. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days onsite each week. The ideal candidate will have 14+ years of hands-on backend development experience, particularly with Python, AI frameworks, and Azure cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance AI-powered web applications using Python.

  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs with FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy/SQLModel.

  • Apply AI/Agentic frameworks such as OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, and Crew AI to develop intelligent application features.

  • Deploy and manage AI solutions using Azure AI Services, including Azure OpenAI.

  • Collaborate with capital markets teams to deliver secure, scalable, and intelligent backend systems.

  • Ensure performance optimization and reliability of applications in a hybrid cloud environment.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and CI/CD deployments using Azure DevOps.

  • Support integration of AI services with user-facing components, utilizing front-end frameworks like Streamlit or Plotly Dash.

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.

  2. 14+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Python.

  3. Proven hands-on backend development experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy/SQLModel.

  4. Strong recent experience in Capital Markets must understand trading systems, market data, or financial analytics workflows.

  5. Proficiency in AI libraries and frameworks such as OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, Crew AI.

  6. Experience deploying and managing AI applications in Azure including Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, etc.

  7. Strong SQL skills capable of writing complex and optimized queries.

  8. Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, using Azure DevOps or similar tools.

  9. Knowledge of version control systems like Git and project tracking using Azure DevOps.

  10. Basic front-end development experience integrating AI into web interfaces (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Streamlit, Plotly Dash).

  11. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience integrating multiple AI/agentic workflows in production.

  • Exposure to microservices architecture and asynchronous programming in Python.

Work Arrangements:

  • Local candidates only (New York or New Jersey area).

  • Hybrid schedule in-office presence required 2 days per week.
