Job Summary
The Senior Data Analyst will play an integral role in the development, implementation and oversight of data and analytic strategies and initiatives that support the execution and management of programs and services at CAMC. The Senior Data Analyst partners with stakeholders and program managers to understand the analytic needs of a program or population and facilitates the execution of those needs in conjunction with analytic experts in Clinical Operations, Finance and Information Technology. The Senior Data Analyst is adept at translating business questions to data to information and insights that describe the financial, operational and clinical quality performance of the programs using data visualization and written reports.
Demonstrates a basic understanding and adheres to departmental processes for change control. Maintains a level of cybersecurity knowledge sufficient to securely accomplish their job duties.
Skills, Experience, and Tools for this Specific Data Architect position
Specific skills and experience required for this position:
Multiple years of experience with DSS / Healthcare Intelligence and/or Soarian Financial / RevElate (OHPAC) reporting
Experience creating inbound and outbound data feeds and reporting
Knowledge and expertise in utilizing healthcare data in a variety of analytics, integration, and operational use cases
Knowledge of feeder systems - Millennium clinical and financial and/or Soarian Financial
Microsoft SQL Server database design, data integration, ETL, stored procedures and SQL programming, used in healthcare industry
Tools required for this position:
SQL Server Management Studio
Visual Studio for SSIS packages
SAP Crystal reports
Responsibilities
1. Assists in the development of comprehensive and executive summaries and reports. Presents data in effective, clear formats tailored to needs of various audiences, including senior leadership, managers, and staff
2. Participates in the preparation, gathering, analysis and interpretation of clinical, operational and financial data to assess efficacy of the clinical programs and strategy.
3. Assists in the development and generates ad-hoc reports and dashboards. Supports the data integration and data onboarding process and participates in the validation of standard reports or dashboards.
4. Facilitates the collection, synthesis, and translation of data into information to inform future state process and design requirements. This includes enhanced knowledge and understanding of several lines of business including the ACO regulatory requirements, MIPS, APM and Quality.
5. Acts as a liaison between clinicians and Information Services and collaborates to update the clinical information systems, troubleshoot hardware/software problems, and supports downtime events.
6. Establishes consistent approaches and standards for report ability, data benchmarks, KPI's their specifications and related monitoring and measurement.
7. Identifies policies and requirements that drive a specific solution.
8. Works effectively on project teams and meets deadlines in accordance to project manager's expectations.
9. Works with stakeholders to build, test and maintain integration points with multiple vendor solutions
10. Serves as an information Data Steward throughout organization. This includes gathering and interpreting business requirements. Independently formulates and implements reporting solutions based on requirements and following IT methodologies, processes and standards.
11. Utilizes detailed instructions to perform routine support and implementation work.
12. Utilizes appropriate and timely communication skills within assigned team.
13. On call as required.
14. Flexible hours when needed.
15. All other duties as assigned.

The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.
