Title: Firewall Engineer
Location: Plano, Texas, United States
Duration: 6+ Months
Responsibilities>
- Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions to ensure the security of our network infrastructure.
- Perform advanced configuration and maintenance of firewalls.
- Develop and update firewall policies to protect against internal and external threats.
- Monitor network traffic and logs to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate firewalls with existing systems and architectures.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on network security best practices.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security standards.
- In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies.
- Proven experience in firewall policy configuration and management.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Exposure to automation tools.
- Experience with scripting and automation to streamline firewall management tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and technologies.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in network security.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a network security role.
