Description
Our government customer is looking for a seasoned Storage Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract. Candidates will need to hit the ground running, as they will be the SME technical member of this team. Having experience collaborating across government and contractor teams will be key.
The Storage Engineer will:
  • Lead operations for NetBackup hybrid-cloud solutions, Dell Unity, NetApp SAN/NAS, and VMware vSAN.
  • Engineering and maintaining secure, DOD-compliant (STIG, FIPS) storage and backup systems.
  • Automated routine tasks and monitoring to support 24/7 operations and incident response.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to implement disaster recovery and continuity of operations.
  • Managed capacity planning, change management, and compliance with ITIL/ITSM frameworks.

Environment & Tools:
  • NetBackup, Dell Unity, NetApp, Cisco MDS, Brocade FC, VMware NSX-T, vRealize Operations
  • Tape archiving, hybrid-cloud integration, and automation scripting
  • Agile and traditional project environments

Clearance & Certifications:
  • Active SECRET Clearance
  • IAT II Certification

Skills:
Storage, Netapp, Nas, Backup, netbackup, disaster recovery, asw storage, Azure Storage
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum experience: BS + 12 years of experience or Master's + 10 years of experience
The ideal candidate will have DR experience as well as AWS or Azure storage/ backup experience.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.58 - $71.07/hr.
