Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking a Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* System Administration in Linux and Windows
* Develop monitoring and management tools and processes
* Accurately estimate work requirements and create detailed plans
* Document processes and best practices
* Communicate effectively in team environment
* Identify departmental needs and make suggestions regarding technical direction
* Participate in an on-call rotation
* Developing Internet based applications that operate in a client/server environment
* Pipeline automation and orchestration utilizing the following stack or like GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory, Sonar, Veracode, Kubernetes
* Coordinate timely resolution of problem tickets, incident tickets and security findings with engineering teams

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
* 6+ years of systems administration
* Linux systems administration experience required
* Experience supporting Java and Tomcat applications desirable
* Application development experience desirable
* Application performance testing experience desirable
* Excellent communication skills required
* Strong problem resolution skills required
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
