Job Title: Java Developer (with GitHub Copilot Experience)
Location: Phoenix, AZ / Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Job Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled Java Developers with hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot to accelerate development workflows. The ideal candidates will have strong expertise in backend engineering, modern Java frameworks, and best practices for building scalable, secure, and maintainable applications. This role is fully onsite and requires strong collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications using modern frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot).
- Utilize GitHub Copilot to enhance code quality, improve productivity, and streamline development tasks.
- Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend components into enterprise systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 8+ years of professional experience as a Java Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and related backend frameworks.
- Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot in a professional development environment.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs and microservices.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (plus).
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in onsite agile environments.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Prior experience mentoring junior developers or working in large enterprise teams.
