Job Title: DBA (Db2 LUW) HYBRID ROLE (2 weeks a month onsite)

Job Description
Must haves:
Db2 (LUW)
AWS knowledge (S3, EBS storage, EC2 server)
DataDog or OTEL (open telemetry)

Nice to haves:
Neo4j (graph database)
CockroachDB

This role is on the platform DB team. They support the "IaaS" DB and all of it's systems/infrastructure needs. They do not do application side or any tuning.
They don't have a dedicated Db2 LUW person to handle this piece. Looking for Db2 primarily and any others will be a bonus.

This team supports multiple distributed databases and all of their applications are on Cockroach DB or Neo4J. Either one of those will be really highly preferred. If they didn't have Neo4J, or CockRoach DB, but were strong in AWS, and had a great background in Oracle and MySQL he would consider, but the first preference is going to be having that Neo4J or Cockroach DB experience.

Interpersonal skills wise he wants someone who is hungry and motivated to work. He wants a senior enough person who can do their work independently but also don't want someone who is so set in their ways that they won't be able to learn.

Oncall rotation around every 4 weeks to cover production.

Responsibilities
Requires in depth knowledge on supporting and troubleshooting Databases like CockroachDB , Neo4j Azure SQLMI, Azure MySQL
Build, configure, and support Database Cloud Infrastructure in AWS using industry standard deployment tools.
Should have a strong understanding on AWS cloud services like EC2, S3, CFT, EBS, IAM, AWS CLI.
Experience in configuring and supporting of the monitoring and alerting tools like DataDog, AWS CloudWatch for proactive detection.
Work with customers in gathering technical requirements for data migration needs.
Strong experience in production support, capacity management and maintenance of high availability & disaster recovery database systems for the large-scale databases.
Should have working knowledge on scripting (e.g., shell scripts, python, etc.).
Should have in depth knowledge about Incident management, Change management and Problem management processes
Should be open to working in shifts, on call and weekend change management tasks
Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas, Investigate and resolve user raised Incidents, Problem management and service requests.
Writes clear, concise, well organized technical documentation to maintain standards and procedures.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, including a wide range of architectures and technologies
Establishing strong, reciprocal relationships with business and technology partners across Fidelity
Should have working knowledge of Agile practices

The Expertise we re looking for
Bachelor or master s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Equivalent.
10+ years of IT database experience with progressive growth to technical lead.
AWS or Azure certification is preferred.
