Job Title: UX Designer/Researcher - HCD Duration: 06+ Months Contract (Possibility of Extension) Location: Juno Beach FL - Fully Onsite Client: Energy Company - Will be disclosed on call Pay Rate: $55/hr on W2/C2C Additional Notes:

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Human-Centered Design (HCD) Contractor to act as a strategic bridge between business and IT teams. This role is key to delivering user-focused solutions that meet business goals. The ideal candidate will lead research and design efforts, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and champion design thinking to enhance user experience and improve business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead experience benchmarking, usability testing, and synthesis of insights to inform design decisions
Analyze user behavior and channel metrics to identify areas for enhancement
Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research (interviews, surveys, usability studies)
Develop personas, journey maps, and service blueprints to represent user needs and pain points
Diagnose root causes of UX challenges and recommend actionable design solutions
Co-create value models and experience blueprints with cross-functional teams
Facilitate design thinking workshops and collaborative sessions with stakeholders
Create and iterate storyboards, wireframes, and conceptual designs to visualize user journeys
Balance user needs with business objectives and technical feasibility
Present research findings and design strategies to both business and IT audiences
Qualifications
Strong background in Human-Centered Design with hands-on experience in design thinking
Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research, including usability testing
Experience working within Agile development environments
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
Skilled in Figma, with the ability to create low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes
Understanding of Information Architecture and its role in digital products
Experienced in managing stakeholder relationships and navigating team dynamics
Ability to translate research insights into clear, actionable design recommendations
