ServiceNow, Security Ops Analyst




About the Role
We're looking for a skilled ServiceNow Security Operations Analyst with a strong background in ServiceNow development and engineering to help accelerate delivery of a significant backlog of ServiceNow configuration and integration requests. This role requires hands-on experience building and consuming APIs, working with JavaScript, and familiarity with ServiceNow modules like WorkSpace and IT Asset Management (ITAM).
You will work closely with security, operations, and development teams to engineer integrations, build workflows, and enhance the platform's capabilities for our enterprise environment. A background in security operations or experience integrating tools like Qualys is a strong plus.




Key Responsibilities



  • Triage and fulfill ServiceNow development/configuration requests from a backlog of over 150 items, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external tools/systems via APIs.

  • Build and customize workflows, forms, and dashboards using JavaScript and ServiceNow's native development tools.

  • Support and enhance the use of ServiceNow WorkSpace to improve visibility and usability for internal teams.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, secure ServiceNow solutions.

  • Maintain and expand usage of ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) in support of security and operational needs.

  • Ensure all configurations adhere to platform best practices and security/compliance standards.

  • Document development and configuration work clearly for internal knowledge sharing and compliance.




Qualifications



  • Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development or engineering roles.

  • Languages: Strong JavaScript skills for scripting and workflow development within the platform.

  • Integration Skills: Experience producing and consuming APIs for tool integrations (e.g., REST, SOAP).

  • Modules: Experience with ServiceNow WorkSpace and ITAM modules.

  • Backlog Support: Demonstrated ability to efficiently triage and resolve configuration and development requests.

  • Pluses: Experience integrating with security tools like Qualys, familiarity with ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) module, or knowledge of ITSM best practices.
