Job Description

Entity: Oracle America, Inc.

Job Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.33728)

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related technical field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a software developer-related occupation. Position requires:
  1. Software design and developing including front-end, backend, and database;
  2. Java, SQL, HTML and Javascript;
  3. Web technologies: React and Redux;
  4. Git;
  5. Oracle DB;
  6. REST web services;
  7. Container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker;
  8. JVM tracing agents such as newrelic; and
  9. API documentation frameworks such as Swagger.


Qualifications

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
